| Successful Aging Project Report
The past year has been a productive year for the Successful Aging Project,
despite the staff hours being significantly less. We have, nonetheless, made
some real strides with the web site. As of March, we have had 2500 people visit
and access programs on the site and over 1100 individuals have now filled in
our Successful Aging Quiz! We have every expectation that these numbers will
continue to grow. We get dozens of emails weekly. The information they require
or the questions they ask are responded to promptly. Most of the questions
are related to aging, with a large number on diet and exercise and a lesser
number to do with stress management. We are very pleased with these outcomes
and are delighted to be an on-going resource for people needing researched
and proven health information on line. Many sites may be questionable in nature
so it is reassuring to be providing such a dependable source of safe and reliable
information. Special thanks go to Peter Brink, a psychology student working
part-time with us, his efforts to keep people coming to the site, have been
outstanding.
We are pleased to be able to tell you that Christine Knight, who is doing
her doctoral thesis from data collected about Successful Aging, is on schedule
and will be presenting her findings quite soon.
It is our intention to keep this site viable and to expand on it whenever
possible.
Thank – you for your continued interest and support.
